Set up your fishing berth at your cottage on the banks of the Grand
Canal. The Grand Canal is renowned for course fishing with good
catches of Bream, Hybrids, Pike, Rudd, and Tench. There are fishing
stands at Ballyteague, approximately 1-mile away and are purpose built
for people with disabilities. Travel in the opposite direction of Digby
Bridge and Prosperous famous for its competitions is just 4 miles away.
On the Royal Canal from Kilcock to Killucan lock, flowing through the
bog of Northwest Kildare, it is favoured for its dark waters.
The Liffey, Slate, and Rye rivers give access to Game angling of Trout,
Salmon, and Pike all within a few minutes drive of Robertstown. Fishing
bait is available in the nearby town of Naas. |
