Views are of contrasting scenery on the banks of the Grand Canal, which
is steeped in heritage.
The tranquil Village of Robertstown is just a 1 minute walk away with 4
Pubs for the craic and music, There are two Grocery Shops, a Post Office,
and majestically standing at the end of the village is the old Grand Canal
Hotel. Take a stroll down to the marina, admire the many boats - listen
to the birds singing, watch the fish scurrying to catch the bait from the
fishermen but avoiding the hook! Barge trips depart from the Hotel on a
regular basis from during the Summer months.
Just a short stroll away is Lowtown marina. Lowtown is the crossroads of
the canal to the Barrow line, Shannon line, and the Dublin line.
